Charles Petersheim left Manhattan soon after 9-11 and has been building new “old” houses in Sullivan County ever since.
From Catskill Farms:
An old American house has always symbolized a simple, traditional and romantic way of life. It’s amazing that Catskill Farms has designed, built and sold 20 new old homes in Sullivan County over the past 4 years. But, to be honest, we can’t take all the credit – country living is hard to beat, especially in a Catskill Farms cottage or farmhouse in Sullivan County, NY.
Catskill Farms is recreating that lonely old house on the hill, providing homes and getaways for 24 families, 19 children, 11 dogs and an unknown number of cats (domestic and feral). Most of our customers had been house searching for several years before discovering us, but once down the driveway or in the door it was- as they say – love at first sight. It doesn’t take long after the purchase for our homeowners to be brainstorming about how to ‘work from home’.
For less than the cost of a NYC parking spot, these farmhouses have many acres of land, great views, and exquisite privacy.
Charles writes a blog too. Check it out here.
